"but now they have hit a bit of a the kind of wall that comes with a very young and inexperienced group"

Just because coaches bench young players doesn't mean they're the problem. How about the rapid regression of Giroux who looks incapable of scoring at 5 vs 5. The wasted contract given out to Dale Weise...5 points. A player like Raffl playing in a top line role. A rookie like Konecny who they've had to rely on has scored the most 5 vs 5 pts on the team gets benched because the yeah the Coach knows there's room for improvement but it's also the easy thing to do in the hockey world. The other rookie Provorov is doing just fine lugging dead weight Amac around on a top pairing. Ghost could be playing better but there are no better options either.

"young and inexperienced" is a lazy and tired assessment. The veteran foundation of this team is flimsy.

CARTER Hart is years away....weren't you watching WJC?

About time for Hextall to wake up. But then again, After the letting go of Gagner and signing Weise and the Gordon's of the world, No trades might be good. We shall see

really letting go gagner was a bad move by hexy. if this is a bad move you are really reaching. i think he is on his 4th team is 3 years and with no money to spend in free agency weise and gorgon are what you are gonna get.

lets not forget all the good he has done... drafted provorov, trade coburn for gudas and a first rounder (konecny), got rid of countless bad contracts Vinny Lecav, Pronger, Grossman, Schenn, traded Zac Rinaldo for a third rounder. etcetcetc

Flyers should be taking calls on half their team. That ten game winning streak tricked fans into thinking they aren't rebuilding. If this weekend proved anything it's that they are sellers at the deadline.

yup - seriously though... which year is this... 'cause I can't remember the year it was when the Flyers were half way through the season and didn't have goaltending figured out

at this point, its either their D sucks or their goaltending sucks - or both.

and their CAP situation has 20M clearing up in July - however that's without any goaltenders signed.

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm - what to do?

maybe a hot D prospect and a pick to Tampa for the Bishop?

Can't see Hexy trading any future asset for a soon to be UFA.

well - from an outsider's perspective... I would be looking at it more along the lines of "we(the Flyers) have so many D prospects" and we have a significant commitment to our forward group... and we have tried the mid-range goalie route repeatedly and that hasn't work out so well.."

at what point does Hextall go all in... Giroux and Voraceck aren't getting any younger.

You cant get consistency on the deadline and that is they key-point what is missing.
They just should do a Timonen for Mark Streit to get him traded to a cup contender

Trouba to Montreal would make no sense for Trouba... he'd be second pair again or have to play the left side - he's not unseating Shea Weber

Weber won't be a top pairing guy in a couple of years and Trouba won't be one for a couple of years...

In a couple of years?! You might not want to look at the term of his contract then.
